Boards of Canada - Inferno

first time in maybe 15 years(??) where i'm listening to an album that just came out directly from the cd.
went through the whole album in one sitting with the booklet in front of me and had a wonderful time!!

the sound design goes crazy, some classic BoC chord progressions but it definitely reads as a modern take on their old sound. feels like a gregg araki movie with the megachurch broadcasts layered into demonic ambient.

also the booklet has some photo collages of possessed children, suburbs, deserts and blood spatter which i think adds a lot.

favorite track: the word becomes flesh

i've yet to sit down and give it a full listen, but i am stoked that canada is still boarding
