Title: Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core
Post by: flowless3 on May 30, 2026, 01:02 PM
Anyone grabbed this on steam? I picked it up last night and got my shit kicked in solo and then it crashed on the second run.

It feels like a more streamlined version of DRG, different classes, the equipment is kinda randomized per run and it runs like the deep dives, where you go into a map and have to do floors till you get to the bottom where you fight a boss to clear the map. you still progress your classes and stuff like normal but the equipment and perks are all picked up during the run so you can mess around with different stuff each go. it seems interesting but its really hard to play solo because im a dwarf casual

yeah i know what you mean

the new classes now have 2 dwarves that are not male presenting i think, but i haven't played them to hear their voice lines. one of them uses a drone that looks like a falcon and the other one does some weird time fuckery that is extremely complicated sounding.

the game feels really hard to play solo unlike DRG, i barely cleared a run right now but it was not very easy. got my shit stomped out.

oh that's cool

and i think that's by design? isn't DRG in general really mean to be played co-op?

yeah but ita harder now. it felt pretty doable in the forst one because you could choose to engage with stuff as you wanted based on what kind of risk you wanted to take. in this one since theres a timer through a linear floor with a boss u cant a oid at the end it feels harder. that boss at the end doesnt feel tuned for solo
